BIO
LA began learning his performing arts craft from the age of 4 years old with Croine Flaherty School of Speech and Drama (RIAM) and then progressing onto the Maureen V. Ward’s Talented Kids School of Performing Arts, the Lir National Junior Academy of Dramatic Art, the Mill Youth Theatre Company, Dundrum
and private one-to-one lessons with Tony Finnegan, Festival Productions. LA is has just completed a BA in performing arts (drama and film) on an Ad Astra Scholarship in UCD.
In musical theatre LA has been very fortunate to play leading roles in the National Concert Hall (Festival Productions - “Bugsy Malone” and “Oliver!”), the Belfast Grand Opera House (Belfast School of Performing Arts - “Les Miserables”), the Avonmore Musical Society (“Oliver!”) and Youth Music Theatre, UK, “Dirty Stop Outs” (various roles).
On TV LA was a past, regular presenter on RTE’s Children’s TV, as well as acting roles in BBC’s “Ripper Street” (Series IV), “Miss Mogul” (Tailored Films), on the West End stage (“Young Performers Showcase”), and in 2017 won the Richard Harris International Film Festival One Minute Monologue Competition (selfpenned “She cut her hair and I stopped loving her”).
LA is also passionate about hip-hop dancing having completed a scholarship with the Millennium Dance Complex, Los Angeles, USA (2016 - scholarship won at the World Championships of Performing Arts, 2015) and since that time, both individually and with the Fly Dance Company/Fly Company International, Dublin, has successfully performed and competed nationally and internationally in competitions/championships including UK Street Dance Championships (2017, 2018), All Ireland Hip-hop Crew Champions (2017, 2019), Irish Hip-hop Championships (2017, 2019) and Dancers Paradise World Champions, Cancun, Mexico (2019, invitation only). During COVID-19 lockdown, LA has fed "his passion" by shifting his dance activities online with significant presence on Instagram (@lafeeneyy) entering multiple dance competitions and battles across the world (100+ in total), with decent success, especially in "live" Zoom/Instagram battles (do check it out!). Most recently, LA was awarded a dance residency with Shawbrook Dance where he will spend the time researching and developing his own work which brings his music creation and dance together to form a piece.
LA is fully committed with unwavering determination to gain a career in the performing arts and is very excited and grateful for all potential opportunities...
