Wayne Byrne
Wayne is a Dublin native is based there and also has a base in London. He is 5′ 10″ (177cm) tall. A graduate of both Bow Street Academy for Screen Acting and the Performance Theatre Company of The Gaiety School of Acting .A former student of Dublin Youth Theatre and The Actors Workshop.
Theatre wise Wayne played a lead role of ‘Phil Snr’ in the stage production from the award winning book of the same title “WHAT WOULD MA SAY ” directed by Gerard Ronan and written by Kathleen Doyle which toured Ireland in venues such as The Civic, Liberty Hall Theatre and The Axis Theatre Other stage work includes working with Gerard Stembridge on Dublin Youth Theatre performance of Pericles” by William Shakespeare as “Valdes” at the Project Arts Centre , The lead role of “Mr. Anselme” in “The Miser” by Molier directed by Aoife Spillane Hinks at the Black Box Theatre and also the role of “Peter” in “MANIFESTO” Directed by the late Donal Courtney.
Wayne's Film/screen credits include film and television work includes BBC production of “Aristocrats” directed by David Caffery and “Mystic Knights of Tir Na Nog” Directed by Kevan Barker with Saban Productions. “Braveheart” directed by Mel Gibson and “Nothing Personal” Directed by Thaddeus O Sullivan.
Other credits also include the award winning short film “PODGE” having received two best actor award for his lead role as Podge at the Bedford International Film Festival Viginia USA and Spookscreen International Horror Film Festival in Cork Ireland. Short film credits include “Black Coffee” directed by Alex Sheehan, “HYGGE” directed by Rachel McGill and “Sophie” directed by Philip Ledingham.
