Lukas Zdunek
I am Lukas Zdunek; I am in sixth year in Temple Carrig School Greystones. I grasp any opportunity I get for a chance to act or sing. This passion began at the start of fourth year when I was casted as ‘Danny’ in Grease and it was the most enjoyable experience I have ever had. Grease opened doors to a new side of me I did not know existed, it also connected me to so many more people that I now call my best friends. It was then I realised my love for the arts and the stage which now is all I wish to do in the future. When I leave school, I wish to do acting in The Lir and this would be such an amazing experience to allow me to learn and achieve the next level of my acting and musical theatre career. In my two years of acting and musical theatre I have achieved a great amount.
I was acting in the National Performing Arts School, I had drama, Musical Theatre and Singing lessons every week for a year. I recently preformed on the 3Olympia stage as a lead role for a Musical called ‘The Magical Mystery Museum’. I have recently won a Wicklow and Leinster competition called Scoileanna Dramaíocht which I played in five person Irish language play, currently we are rehearsing to compete in the all Ireland final. I also completed The Lir’s ‘Young Actors Programme’, this is a full time summer course for 4 weeks where I trained as a full time actor. In this programme the core modules of Acting, Voice and Movement are led by The Lir’s core teaching staff. I have a strong ethic to strive to do more, I will take on any role with great ambition and I am highly motivated to improve in this space.
