Hi, My name is Clare and I am 13 years old. I am in 3rd year in Our Lady's Grammar School in Newry. I take weekly dance classes with Blevins Academy of Dance in Portadown and also weekly Singing, Musical Theatre and Piano lessons with Flynn Performing Arts in Newry. I am also involved in School Choir and Orchestra and am hoping to be successful in my application to be Class Prefect in School.
I love nothing more than singing, dancing and acting and playing my musical instruments. I have been involved in dance since I was two and a half when my mum put me into a baby ballet class and that was honestly the beginning of my love for the stage and the arts.
I started performing when I was 7 when I took part in Peter Corry's 'The Music Box' and I haven't looked back.
I perform in lots of local amateur dramatics and also compete in numerous Dance and Singing Festivals throughout the School Year. I was also a member of Stagebox and trained with them for two years as part of their Edinburgh Elite Team and even got to appear as the main character in an Annie Remix Music Video that they produced.
In Nov/Dec 2022 I had the opportunity to play Nell Mooney (Lead) in RTE's Toy Show Musical. I gained so much experience and knowledge from the exceptionally talented creatives involved with this show.
Most recently I played Peter (Lead) workshopping an amazing new Musical called 'The Boy With The Green Hair' which is being produced in association with The Gate Theatre in Dublin. Jody Trehy is one of the amazing writers and it was a very exciting project to be a part of with lots of Irelands best Musical Theatre talent involved.
Last year I entered Junior Eurovision Eire in the hope of representing Ireland at Junior Eurovision and made it to the Final three. I have re-entered this year and am currently in the competition and have made it to the Finals. Fingers crossed I will win and make it to Nice in France to represent Ireland at Junior Eurovision.
