Ava Connolly Ross
Drama has helped me to become an excellent team leader and it has enabled me to meet so many people from diverse backgrounds. I represented Ireland in the World Championships of Performing Arts in Long Beach California in 2015.
I was awarded 17 medals and a scholarship to study at the prestigious New York Film Academy for acting. I have appeared in advertising campaigns for Toyota for TV, film and print. I played a leading role in a worldwide animation film called “Two by Two” in 2015 which won awards at the Cannes Film Festival. I played the same role in the sequel of the film “Two by Two Overboard” which was released in late 2020. Recently this summer I played a leading role in another animation film called “Checkered Ninja 2” which is to be released in late 2022.
I have obtained grades from the Royal Irish Academy of Music for singing with distinctions and I am currently training for Grade 6 of the Certificate. I have achieved grades with distinctions from the London College of Music in acoustic guitar. I was a monologue finalist at the Richard Harris Film Festival and Judged by well-known actors in the industry such as Jared Harris, Sean Cronin and Terry McMahon. I made it into the final six out of thousands of actors across the UK and Ireland.
Ava managed to raise €1,769 for the Children’s Hospital in Crumlin, Dublin, Ireland. A charity which is very close to her heart. Ava has also modelled for Siopa-Lara ladies clothing, in respect of fund raising for the stroke unit at St James’s Hospital, Dublin.
Ava was an editorial finalist in a modelling competition called “TOP MODEL UK” Ava modelled clothing by UK and US designers. All funds raised from the event went to Children with Cancer UK.
